Hi all,
April 8 I will be giving an illustrated short course entitled “Mycological Studies and Paintings of Beatrix Potter” through WWU's Academy for Lifelong Learning. The details are here (scroll down to April offerings):

Beatrix Potter was an excellent natural historian and gained particular expertise in the mushrooms which is obvious when examining her many watercolors of mushrooms. She also performed experiments in mushroom spore germination.
