This is somewhere between Goat Simulator and Train Simulator in terms of simulator experiences. The gameplay is reminiscent of Train Simulator, with a fully rendered train cab and realistic leaning graphics and physics. There is also an arcadey element to the gameplay which leans more towards the casual end of the market. Progress is made by making trips and collecting passengers. You can upgrade your train and driver by completing simple goals and the feel of the world is generally pretty solid.

This isn't the first time I've heard about the World of Subways series of video game simulators. I've been fascinated with the 4th in the series specifically because you can drive the old MTA Redbirds along the 7 Line from Times Square to Main Street-Flushing. Re-live the magic of these aging trains from flickering lights to noisy interiors. Geez, even the conductor's cabin is noisy! Was that really what it was like? Thank goodness it's one of the shorter lines, right?
