Hello!

First, thanks for your great work! I would love to use this for my projects but I would need at least a basic macOS support.
I read that there is no plan for supporting it https://github.com/open-license-manager/open-license-manager/issues/76

What is missing for basic support such as "Trial license with expiry date" and/or "Link software to "physical" hardware"?
I am not a macOS dev but I could test and try to help as much as possible for the development.

All the best,
Arnaud

Hi Arnaud,

It's not in our plan because we lack of strenght and knowledge (the project team is very small and we're doing this in our spare time). MacOS already has its own app-store where software editors can publish their applications and get paid, so the value of this feature is relative.

In general to have a basic support for a new environment (no hardware identifier, just compile the library) we need:
  1. environment installation instructions
  2. instructions to install/build Openssl and boost
  3. modification to cmake scripts
  4. tests in Travis.ci (macOS seem supported)
If you can contribute we'll be very glad to merge and maintain it... at the moment we're working to the 2.0 milestone and it's taking all our time.

Best regards
Gabriele
