Dear All,

I like the way Mauro used the term "bullshit!" He was apparently a man who appreciated the splendid beauty and grandeur of nature and the marks man and his history have made on it. He lived in Napoli experienced the richness of Neapolitan life. The practice of taking an afternoon coffee w/ cognac at a small curbside table while watching the passing ladies, strikes me as the epitome of civilized behavior :-D

Mauro, may your soul rest in peace!

Netanyahu calls Obama’s bluff

Where Netanyahu would have intentionally hit Obama hardest is in terms of the latter's credibility to enter into one-on-one negotiations with the Iranian leadership.

In his very first press conference on Wednesday after his magnificent election victory, Obama declared that he intended to "make a push in the coming months to see if we can open up a dialogue" with Tehran "to see if we can get this thing [nuclear issue] resolved."

Caricature Chief Rabbi Sacks Caught off Guard

Chief Rabbi Lord Sacks was caught off guard during a Radio 4 interview this morning when he accused Iran of being part of the Gaza conflict.

He initially responded: 'I think it's got to do with Iran, actually.'

But when the Rabbi was told he was live on air, he quickly changed his spots and responded by making a plea for peace saying: "A continued prayer for peace is needed, not only in Gaza but the whole region.'

Zionist cat got the BBC’s tongue?

Israel's Ambassador to Britain, Daniel Taub

by Stuart Littlewood

Israel’s justification for latest assault on Gaza goes unchallenged.
After being treated last night to footage of the slaying of Ahmed Jabari, the military leader of Hamas, by an Israeli assassin flying a drone from his armchair and violating Palestinian airspace, I woke this morning to the kind of crass reporting that has sadly become all too common at the BBC.

As Israeli bombs fall on Gaza, the "news" from Gaza is filtered through the mainstream media – which is America's version of the Occupied Territories.

Israeli spokesmen are all over CNN, NBC, and ABC: coverage in this country is completely one-sided. Just as Israel is blockading Gaza, so the American media is blockading the real news from Gaza, where children are dying in Israel's "war on terrorism."

Where can you get the real news from Gaza?

Right here.

There's just one problem: we're running out of money, despite our winter fund drive. After an initial burst of donations, the stream has become a trickle. If this goes on much longer, we'll be in real trouble.

Break the media blockade and help get out the truth about Israel's war of aggression to our 1 million readers. Send in your tax-deductible donation today.
