Hello,
My library has just launched Ex Libris Primo (and Alma) as part of the Orbis-Cascade Alliance consortial project to link our catalogs, and I’m in charge of updating our LibX toolbar.
I’ve been following the Edition Builder guidance for Primo but I am stymied by the second text-entry box in the Required Settings, in which I have to insert the Catalog URL. The guidance says the Catalog URL should be “the URL where your catalog is located.”
Our catalog is located at http://alliance-primo.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com/primo_library/libweb/action/search.do?&vid=UPORTand I’ve tried entering http://alliance-primo.hosted.exlibrisgroup.com as the URL, but search tests take me to an error saying “Firefox can't find the server at alliance-primo.hosted.exlibrisgroup.comundefined.” If I enter the full URL, which I recognize goes against the guidance example, the test search goes to a generic hosted Primo page (Example URL), and doesn’t run a search. The example URL contains several “undefined” instances, which I think might be related to the “vl()” variables I’ve entered, but I’ll work on that next.
I’ve attached a screen capture of my Edition Builder page for the catalog. Thanks very much for any assistance you can provide.
