Dear colleagues,
Happy 2026! The Library Writing Cooperative has been busy connecting authors with reviewers and providing space for writing, and we wanted to remind you of the following ongoing opportunities.
Please share this information with your colleagues, state and regional library associations, and professional networks. These opportunities are open and free to all library workers, and we don’t require professional memberships or affiliations!
Monthly Writing Time continues until May! Join us for some or all of our monthly two-hour blocks to focus on writing, no matter what stage of the process you’re at. Our next focus session is January 16 from 2-4 Eastern.
Authors: get feedback on your first draft! If you’ve written an article, book chapter, or practically anything for publication in the library world and would like a friendly colleague to provide feedback to help you polish it before official submission to a journal or other outlet, we’ll find a reviewer for you.
Volunteer Peer Reviewer: Would you like to use your experience to give another library worker encouraging and helpful writing feedback? We welcome new reviewers and will reach out when we have a match for you.
If you have any questions about our offerings, please check our website or drop us a line at libwr...@gmail.com.
All the very best,
On behalf of the Library Writing Cooperative
