The poet, essayist, and naturalist will deliver the fifth annual Enid Mark Lecture on Poetry & Contemporary Book Arts, 5 p.m., Weinstein Auditorium, Wright Hall.

In addition to poetry, I have asked Diane Ackerman to read and talk about some of her prose writing as well, including the Zookeeper's Wife, The Natural History of the Senses, etc. We will also have a selection of Enid Mark's ELM Press books on display in the lobby of Wright Hall, open to Diane Ackerman's poems. As you know, a number of local book artists were involved with these publications, including letterpress printers Daniel Keleher, Art Larson, and hand book binders Sarah Creighton and Barbara Blumenthal.
