Hi folks,
We just released an updated LibraryH3lp Pidgin plugin. This release fixes the issue with duplicate transcripts on receipt of transfers; this problem was report by UConn Kate here on our group a couple of months ago.
Download and read all about the plugin here:
Brief summary since many of you are current Pidgin plugin users: the updated plugin has two new features:
1) Option for 140 character countdown to assist with composition of short messages, especially when replying to text messages. Previously, a character count *up* plugin was often used separately.
2) Option for "gone" notifications. A separate "gone" plugin was recommended previously, and that functionality is now built in to the libraryh3lp plugin.
And the plugin still includes the prior features such as the repeating sound alert for new messages and the inline transcript for recipients of transfers.
As an aside, we recently received a nice note from a librarian who was finding Pidgin's built-in Text Replacement plugin helpful for sending a canned chat wrap-up, including a link to a satisfaction survey. We thought it was interesting and added a bit about the Text Replacement plugin to the above doc.
Best wishes to all,
Pam
