Hello,

I work at the University of South Wales IT department, our Library use your chat software. I have written a Kiosk using VB.net, I load your web site in a VB.Net web browser but am unable to send messages using the return key. The issue being that pressing the enter key inserts a newline into the chat text area.

Is it possible to have a "Send Message" button rather than using Enter to send message?

Thank You

Ryan

Hi Ryan,

Sounds like a neat project!

For your kiosk application, you'll want to make us of our mobile chat box since that comes with a button that is used in lieu of press to enter.

If you happen to be using direct URLs, then the /chat/ portion of the URL simply needs to be switched out for /mobile/

For example:

https://eu.libraryh3lp.com/mobile/queue-name@chat.eu.libraryh3lp.com

instead of

https://eu.libraryh3lp.com/chat/queue-name@chat.eu.libraryh3lp.com

And of course you'll need to switch out queue-name above for the actual queue name.

Happy to help get your embed code switched out to use mobile exclusively.  Just reply directly to us with the embed code you are using for your kiosk application and we can provide recommendations specific to your situation.

Best regards,
Amy

Fixed the issue now, the VB.net web web browser is set to IE compatibility mode, once I turned that off it just worked.

Thank you
