Hi there

In case you're interested, registration is now open for a new Software Carpentry [1]  workshop at the University of Toronto iSchool on February 5-6:

We're aiming to go a bit beyond the regular intro to programming bootcamps by focusing on data analytics with sessions on R, regular expressions and a brand new module on "data syndication" - how to harvest data from the web, analyse it and post it back in a format that encourages sharing and collaboration. Registration is open to all!

We're also still looking for helpers, so if anyone can spare even half a day, that would be awesome. Let me know if you're interested.

Any feedback on the proposed curriculum and its potential interest for librarians is also welcome! [2]

Thanks!
Thomas
