As a SIG convener, responsibilities include working on MLA conference program planning & working towards partnering with MLA sections to
co-sponsor section programming, keeping SIG members up to date on activities, coordinating annual business meetings and reporting to MLA section council. AHIP members receive 15 activity points per year for involvement as SIG conveners.
The Libraries in Curriculum SIG focuses on library instruction in support of health sciences curriculum. Instruction is defined broadly to include medical, dental, nursing, pharmacy, public health, physiology and other health profession schools. It includes problem-based learning, orientations, classes and courses taught by librarians, whether integrated into the curriculum or not. The Libraries in Curriculum SIG:
