I have still problem with glog. It doesn't compile because windows doesn't
have unistd.h. Any suggestion?

Hi Gijsbert,

Would you be willing to put the instructions from your blog on the Ceres wiki on googlecode? I wanted to write instructions like yours but never had the time. We would appreciate it, and it would also probably make more impact since Ceres users would find the guide straight away.

Add the page as a new top-level page named "Building" and add a section for Windows.

If you have trouble adding a page let me know.

Thanks,
Keir

Upon further reflection, the details should go into the user guide which already has compile instructions there. Are you able to build Latex documents?

Feel free to pass those instructions on to glog, but having them locally in the Ceres user guide is also useful; it makes it easier for Ceres users who now won't have to go through the hassel of going to the glog site.

How hard can it be? (famous last words ;)

On a related note - the section in my compile instructions that is relevant to libmv is actually describing how to compile glog for windows. Perhaps those instructions should be forwarded to the glog maintainer(s)?
