Hi,
Novice to libkml. Is it possible to have libkml run on appengine with
python bindings? In that it would be imported as a typical library?

If you're really nice to the libkml development team and buy them some
beer, you may be able to persuade them to persuade the appengine team
to make the libraries available for import in appengine.

The SWIG bindings aren't pure python; they're backed by a compiled C++
library. The challenge is to make that play nicely with the (heavily
sandboxed) core AppEngine code.

In all honestly it's not something I'm likely to get around to. But,
if you're in college and looking for a fun internship, it sounds like
a great project for you to tackle yourself.
