playing video from local file

folks,

I know we can play a video from you tube or some other server. But is
it possible to play video from a local file? I tries various things
and nothing seemed to work so far.

I found references that it used to work but not anymore (at least on
GE 5.0 or higher).

Any help is appreciated.
