This weekend, the libjpeg-turbo 3.1 Evolving code base will be merged
down from the dev branch into main, libjpeg-turbo 3.1 beta1 will be
released from main, a new branch (3.0.x) will be created for the 3.0
Stable code base, and libjpeg-turbo 3.0.4 will be released from the
3.0.x branch. If your downstream project builds from main, now would be
a good time to test your build with the dev branch and make sure nothing
breaks, or be prepared to switch your build to the 3.0.x branch when it
is created. (The source tree has been reorganized in libjpeg-turbo 3.1.)
