this will no longer compile due to glibc removing some stuff that it needs. is this project now dead? or will an update be made to fix this issue?

Hi Mark,

The compile issue caused by deprecation of morecore was brought up almost 3 years ago here:

https://github.com/libhugetlbfs/libhugetlbfs/issues/52

As a result, the libhugetlbfs has been dropped from newer releases of some distributions.  IMO,  I don't think you will see this issue resolved unless there is sufficient demand to force the hand of the distributors to do something with this.

That being said, there is still value in the code contained in the package.  The value for me is the test suite to regression test hugetlbfs.  Someone was working on moving test cases to LTP which would be wonderful.
