Hello Team,

I am using libharu and it works great. There are few clarification required to understand more on the creation process

- When I validated .PDF file generated from libharu, it was giving below result

File scan.pdf
Compliance: pdf1.3
Result : Document validated successfully.

- So, I went ahead and read about all versions in

https://www.prepressure.com/pdf/basics/version

- What is the compliance factor used by libharu?

- How does it work for "Digital Signatures"?

- Is it required to have "Digital Signatures" added into PDF files always to achieve complete compliance?

Please let me know.

Regards

libharu adjusts PDF version depending on type of objects added to a document. For example if you add a Universal 3D file to a document, libharu will internally increase PDF version to 1.7. I believe compliance factor is not guaranteed to be 100% accurate. First versions of PDF allowed only basic objects so if you use only those, there is no practical reason why compliance check would fail.
