My book, Everyone Plays at the Library, is going to be published by
Information Today in summer 2010.

I've been talking with them on images for the cover and inside, and I
came up with an idea.

I would love to have some pictures of actual patrons in actual
libraries playing actual games (instead of stock photos).

So, I thought I'd turn to you!

What I'm looking for:

- High-resolution (5MB or better) clear, well-lit pictures of people
playing games in libraries. The setting should clearly be a library,
and I would love to have images from all types of libraries - public,
academic, and school.

- All types of people - children, teens, adults, seniors, preferably
playing together (kids and teachers, students and faculty, members of
the public and librarians). Gaming as a connecting experience across
generations is a strong message in my book.

- All types of games - board, card, roleplaying, video, computer,
ARGs, whatever.

The images I'm looking to portray is the "Library Gaming Experience",
as that's at the core of the book. I'm covering all game types, all
age groups, and all library types in the book, so I would love to have
that variety on the cover.

I need the pictures by January 15th. I realize this is tough timing,
but these pictures can be staged events. So, you can get your family,
your friends, your loyal patrons or library friends (and You) in a
gaming set-up in front of a part of your library that is clearly "a
library" and take some pictures.

If we choose to use your picture, you will receive a signed copy of the book.

Now, here's the trick - we need a release signed by the people in the
pictures. If they are underage, we need their parents to sign one,
instead. I'm attaching the release form here - the librarian should
fill out a master with the Credit line and make copies for those in
the picture to sign.

Thanks for considering this!
