I applied to speak at this, but my proposal was rejected. Cost is $695 to attend if you register by 1/15/10 - those of you who are within reasonable proximity may want to consider the $100 exhibits only pass, though.

The game industry and toy industry professionals mashup at Engage! Conference and Expo this February 16-17, 2010 in NYC.

Here's why you need to be there too:

1)  Toy manufacturers are building online games as extensions to their product lines. Just as blockbuster movies must have a game, toy companies are now building online and mobile games based on their major brands and manufacturing toys based on major online-only games.

2)  Engage! brings together the leaders from the toy, game and entertainment industries and provide critical cross-industry learning and valuable NEW business partnership and networking opportunities. This is where you find knowledge, contacts and business.

3)  Hear from top toy and game developers, technologists and marketers on how they are integrating online games, virtual goods, virtual worlds, branded apps and web-enabled toys into their product strategies. Special case studies analyze business partnerships between toy manufacturers and game companies.

4Other game conferences re-connect you with the same people over-and-over again. We guarantee to broaden your thinking and your network. Engage! Conference and Expo is co-located with Toy Fair, the 25,000-person annual toy industry tradeshow. Already 5,800 executives are pre-registered to walk the Engage! Expo hall. See a partial attendee list here.

5)  Game designer Will Wright, Founder, Stupid Fun Club, Creator, Spore & The Sims (yes, his next project merges toys and games) will deliver the opening keynote.  He will look at toys, play, and the product development process from a new perspective.

Speaker highlights below. I hope you can join us. You won't be disappointed.
