Minecraft programming in libraries

Hey all,

I just received an email from a colleague of mine asking if we have
ever done any programming with Minecraft. We have not, but like him, I
am very interested in the idea as we have a pretty avid following
here.

I was wondering if any of you have done any programming with
Minecraft, or know of colleagues who have, who would be willing share
their experiences (i.e. type of program, assessment of its success/
failure) and whether you (or said colleague) would be willing to be
contacted offlist with additional questions by email?
