- Please do not forward this to other library lists.-

I'm currently writing a grant proposal for the IMLS with some groups
at MIT where we will be creating a toolkit to make it easy for a
library of any type (including special) to create an ARG for their
library. The idea is a toolkit where a library fills in key
resources, places, people, and challenges, and gets an alternate
reality game ready to customize and run for their library.

I would like to present a list of libraries interested in being a part
of this project.

If you sign up, it means that you are willing to:
- supply me with a list of resources, places, people, and other things
that you would want patrons to be exposed to for your library.
- test out the toolkit twice with a limited group of patrons,
providing feedback each time.
- have your library sign an agreement committing to assisting the
project.

In exchange, you would have early access to this toolkit, you would
ensure that your resources are going to be accommodated, and your
feedback will be important in shaping this toolkit.

I estimate your time commitment would be 20 hours over 2 years,
although you could certainly spend more time on it.

If you are interested in being a part of this, I have created a new
Google Group for the project. To become a member, please reply to me
privately (sc...@scottnicholson.com), and tell me what library you
work with and what e-mail to use. I will then add you to a private
Google Group that we will use for coordination.

Thanks!

I would love to talk to anyone in Tucson about supporting their efforts in any way I can.  I run a small media company that serves the analog games industry.  We do what we can to help locally, so Tucsonians, give me a call.  I would love to support 1.) a transmedia game, 2.) local libraries, and 3.) whatever Scott does.
