From the NEWS file:
* f437_surface_free now returns a pointer to the encapsulated
SDL_Surface.
* A layer-based display abstraction: F437Display. See the texinfo
manual.
* C++ classes can now return the encapsulated SDL_Surface* and return
the width/height of the surface, in characters.
