Phoenix Giving Day on December 13th

Dear Senior PLDers,

PSI Phoenix Giving Day is coming up on December 13th.

We will be providing a Holiday Carnival for 400 students.  For info and history see the flyer below.

We are looking for people to be in charge of children's arts and crafts and physical activities.

I was thinking it would be fun if different PLD teams took on some activities.

A couple of things....

• You will need to enroll 3 or 4 people to join you
• The list below are simply ideas, if your idea is not on the list, let us know.
• You will need to bring all supplies necessary for your station.  The cost is on you.  You can get a receipt for your donation.

• We are collecting 500 teddy bears, please spread the word.

	HELP SPREAD THE HOLIDAY CHEER!!! Join us for the PSI Seminars/PSI World 14th Annual Phoenix Giving Day
	WHEN: December 13th, 2014 - Volunteers arrive at 10:00am - Carnival goes from 12:00pm - 3:00pm WHERE: Academia Del Pueblo 201 E. Durango St. Phoenix, AZ 85004
	HISTORY OF PHOENIX GIVING DAY Giving Day started 14 years ago when a small group of people gathered to make a difference over the holidays. We "sponsored" 25 families in need and delivered Christmas trees, lights, ornaments, presents, teddy bears, turkey dinners and grocery gift cards. When we saw the kids and their teddy bears, we were enrolled!  The next year we had 50 families. Then, 75, 100, 150 families.  About 7 years ago we started sponsoring entire schools to be able to support more kids and their families. Three years ago we were able to give 600 kids brand new bicycles! Please join us in making a difference in our 14th year!
WE ARE SUPPORTING THE ACADEMIA DEL PUEBLO SCHOOL There are 380 students at the school. We will have a holiday festival involving 30 plus different arts/crafts and activities, including a rock wall, bouncy house, holiday card making, ornament making, t-shirt decorating, obstacle courses, and more!
	HOW YOU CAN GIVE BACK: 1. Make a monetary donation: Go to the website: www.psiworld.org ***Important to fill in next to Donation Instructions "Phoenix Giving Day" 2. Donate teddy bears: We will be collecting 500 new Teddy Bears  (new, 12 inches or bigger) 3. Volunteer for the event: We are looking for at least 100 - 150 people.
