LiberTEM 0.12.0 released

Dear subscribers,

 

I am happy to announce the release of LiberTEM 0.12.0. This release brings the following improvements:

 

• LiberTEM and related packages are available on conda-forge, at last!
• Exporting datasets as NumPy .npy files through Context.export_dataset().
• GPU support and enhanced scheduling for live data processing in PipelinedExecutor.
• Context.make_with() offers parameters to control the number of CPU and GPU workers.
• CoMUDF to make live centre of mass analysis easier, including support for flat field correction. See also the separate repository for iCoM (work in progress).
• Various other updates and improvements, see the changelog!

Ongoing activities and future plans

 

• Web GUI integration for CoM flat field correction
• Web GUI and command line support for controlling number of GPU workers
• Ongoing efforts to support more cameras with live processing. Gatan K2IS support has been tested successfully, to be released soon.
• Performance optimization for sparse data and GPU processing.
