Dear all,
LiberTEM now has a fully-functional web-based GUI. It implements
ring-shaped, disk-shaped and point virtual detectors that you can adjust
and position with your mouse. GUI and visualization for center of mass
shift is currently work in progress and should be finished soon.
The system supports reading from HDF5 and raw binary. We tested it
successfully with raw data from EMPAD and Merlin Medipix MIB.
Since it is very fast and easy to use, it works great as a browser to
quickly explore and experiment with pixelated STEM data sets. As an
orientation, processing a 4 GB file takes two seconds on my laptop and
less than a second on Alex' workstation.
The system can be deployed on Linux, Windows and Mac. For Linux we
already have a straightforward user-friendly deployment method to set it
up as a single-node instance. For Windows and Mac, deployment currently
requires setting up a Python environment. We are working towards making
deployment on Windows and Mac as easy as on Linux.
We are currently gearing up for a 0.1 release. If you are interested in
testing the system, let us know! In August we will be ready to help you
set it up. Just contact Alex or me by e-mail or in our Gitter channel:

Greetings,
Dieter
