Equality Now has just issued Women’s Action 38.1 – Egypt: Ensure women’s rights are integrated in post-revolution Egypt - calling on the Egyptian authorities to take steps to meet Egyptian demands as laid out in the Women’s Charter signed by over 500,000 groups and individuals.  Equality Now is concerned that Egyptian women’s rights are eroding in the post-revolution era.  Please call upon the Egyptian authorities to ensure that the steps laid out by Egyptian women in the Women’s Charter are implemented, including rights of political and economic participation, representation in government, and equality before the law, so that Egyptian women and men are equal partners in post-revolution Egypt.
