AFREE, and SIMPLE online registration form is available through My Parking Profile When registering a bike, please provide all the requested information, including the manufacturer's serial number (please see diagram below for potential locations on where your serial number could be located), your UT EID and current address so the permit is mailed to the correct address.

Registering your bike with PTS links your bike to you using the serial number on your bike. Bicycle serial numbers are like a car's vin number. When a bike is pawned, the pawn shop reports the serial number to the Austin Police Department (311) which enters the number into a database to which police departments have access. Using this database, they can search for your serial number. Stolen bikes sometimes end up back on campus and can be returned to their owners if they are registered and have the UT permit sticker on them.

The permit number that is attached to your bike serves as a theft deterrent and makes it easier to contact the owner in the event there is a construction project and the bike needs to be relocated to avoid impoundment, If accidentally improperly locked to another bike, or to a rack that is being relocated. Having a way to communicate with you about your property is beneficial.

The majority of serial numbers are located under the bottom bracket where the two pedal cranks meet. Simply turn your bike upside down and record the number. If there is no serial number there then check places like the headset at the front of the bike or the rear stays. The diagram at the right indicates the five most common serial number locations. If you just can't find anything then you can either engrave your driver's license number (engravers are available through UTPD) or describe the bike the best you can when registering and maybe even take a picture with it to prove ownership.

The best chance at recovering a stolen bicycle is having a registered serial number. These numbers are used by police across the nation. You need the manufacturer's serial number to register your bicycle.

A bicycle serial number is a unique number allocated to your bike by the manufacturer. It helps the manufacturer and bike shops with inventory, making it easier to match compatible parts to that bike.

You use the serial number to register your bike with the various registration schemes such as Bike Index, Bike Register and Project 529. If the police recover your bike, they'll use the serial number to link it to you.

RI.gov maintains a list of Rhode Island's 39 cities and towns, in the "more info" section of each city or town you'll find phone numbers for local police departments. If your local city or town is not listed above, please contact your local police department for VIN verification fees and time of operation.

At times when a vehicle is purchased in a state other than Rhode Island, it may be necessary to register the vehicle before the vehicle is brought back to this state. In this situation, a VIN Check/VIN Inspection may be performed by a law enforcement agency in the jurisdiction in which the vehicle is currently located.

A serial number located on a rear dropout. Some BMX bikes and a few Schwinn bicycles place the serial on the rear dropout. On older Schwinns there are numbers stamped on both the drive side and non-drive side rear dropouts; the one on the non-drive side dropout is the serial number.

The Cervlo head office is located in Southern California. We have multiple offices and distributors located around the world in order to help serve you in the region you reside in. In order to locate the office that can best service your enquiry you can find our distributor list here.

Unfortunately, we do not offer tours at this time. While the brains of the operation work out of our Toronto facility, all the fun stuff happens at our assembly facilities in the USA, Germany and Taiwan. We appreciate your interest, so please check back frequently to be updated on any changes.

Maybe! Due to our heavy involvement with the Men's and Women's World Tour, and their Development teams, direct sponsorships from Cervlo are very limited. If you're competing at the sub-elite level, your best bet is to go through your local Cervlo retailer and ask about sponsorship through our Grassroots program. For Elite level racers, please drop us a line, and we'll be in touch.

First, we'd suggest bringing your bike to your authorized Cervlo retailer so they can inspect it to ensure there is no structural damage to the frame. From there, the shop can get in touch with our warranty/QC people if necessary. Damage to paint and decals are not covered under our warranty, but in our experience, chips in clearcoat and basecoat can be easily touched up.

Cervlo recommends any mount that doesn't clamp the bike by the frame. Clamping your top tube could result in damage that would not be covered by our limited warranty. Driving into your underground parking with your bicycle mounted to the roof of your car could also result in damage that would not be covered by our limited warranty.

The age-old question, isn't it? There are so many factors that go into bicycle sizing and fit, particularly for high-performance bikes, that we can't offer much help without being able to measure you and see you on a bike. Even then, it's not unusual for someone to be able to ride two different sizes depending on their goals and fit tolerance. That said, we do have some fantastic retailers, and we'd encourage you to go start a conversation with them about what you want from your new bike. You can find the retailer closest to you over at our Dealer Locator.

Regular inspection and maintenance of a fork is critical to ensure rider safety. A headset that is too loose or too tight can cause damage to the steerer tube over time. If any abnormalities are detected we'd encourage you to see your local Cervlo retailer so they can assess your fork. A damaged fork should never be ridden as doing so could result in complete failure.

Most Cervlo disc-brake bicycles can be converted from R.A.T axles to standard thru-axles. You'll need the following parts: Cervlo Thru-Axle Lever - Front [QRA-LVR-F], Cervlo Thru-Axle Lever - Rear [QRA-LVR-R], Cervlo Threaded Axle Fork Insert [QRI-THD], Threaded axle rear derailleur hanger [DRH-WMN112] (Some exceptions apply, please see your Cervlo Authorized Dealer for further assistance).

All Cervlo bikes may be used on an indoor trainer, and any Cervlo disc brake-equipped frame on a trainer by sourcing a through-axle adapter for standard and direct-drive trainers. Some trainers will require a conversion to standard thru-axles prior to use (see "Can I convert my Cervlo from R.A.T axles to standard thru-axles?"). If installed properly and used carefully, there should be no risk of damaging the frame. Please keep in mind that any damage to the frame, fork, or components caused by use in a trainer is not covered by our limited lifetime warranty. How can I use my Rapid Axle Technology (R.A.T.) rear derailleur hanger with indoor trainers?

This can easily be accomplished by replacing the R.A.T. hanger with the threaded hanger supplied with our C-Series and S3 Disc models (Cervlo Part Code: DRH-WMN112) which is available for sale through any authorized Cervlo retailer. This hanger will support the use of any 12mm x 142mm x 1.75mm through-axle adapters for standard and direct-drive trainers.

If you've ever aired up a 23mm tire in an older road frame, only to find in the space of a month that it's stretched to 25-26mm and no longer fits, you'll know that maximum tire size can be a tricky subject. Beyond casing stretching, there are many variables involved when determining if a tire/rim combo will fit. The ISO 4210-2:4.10.2 standard for tire clearance states that a minimum of 4mm of clearance must remain between the tire and any frame element. Contact your retailer and they should be able to help.

We don't typically publish weights, because slight variations in weight are normal: our products are handmade, paint is applied by hand, and different sizes of a frame will of course weigh different amounts. Weights can be found in product reviews, and your local Cervlo retailer will probably be more than happy to put a bike or frame on the scale for you.

Cervlo small parts and accessories are available for purchase at all Authorized Cervlo Dealers. See our Dealer Locator to find a dealer nearest to you. Some small parts are also available on our webstore.

All warranty considerations and fulfillment must be made through an Authorized Cervlo Dealer. Please take your frame/components and your original proof of purchase to your nearest dealer for further assistance.

We recommend that you check the national public registries for posted stolen bikes. Just go to Project 529 and run a search. If an owner is found, feel free to message the owner and they can pick it up.

Otherwise, contact the police via the non-emergency line 503-823-3333 to request that the bike be taken to the property room as found property. [Note: you can be listed as the property owner and petition to take possession of it if no owner is located in the next 60 days]

4. Once a meeting time/location is established, notify the Portland Police via the non-emergency line 503-823-3333. If this is done 60-90 minutes in advance of the meeting time, this lead time should allow the officer to be dispatched in a timely manner. A public place such as a Starbucks is a commonly chosen meeting location. The dispatcher will likely ask for your stolen bike police report number, so have that handy when you call.

NOTE: We ask the victim to be involved at some level so they can positively ID the bike as theirs or not. We often will ask the victim to wait until they see visual confirmation of the bike at the meeting location, and then notify us while we wait nearby. We then will confirm the identity of the bike, negotiate the recovery, and investigate the incident.

This is a good question we often get, and a good one because there are potential criminal implications for purchasing stolen property. The burden of proof is placed on you to do your homework before purchasing something from a private seller.
