My initial concept when testing with a POS58 USB printer (Win7 driver + Printer --> POS58 + Receipt printer ticked) was to print a blank line to get the draw open, but that is a waste of paper. So here I am looking at this thread...
That should do it? Worth a shot, if nothing else works.
One major problem still exists. The printer will not open the drawer on a sale when no receipt is printed. Damn. So back to the drawing board if you don't want receipts on every cash sale.
Remember; if you're attempting to do stuff with the likes of printers & etc and we don't have the drivers and/or they're not industry standard (like ESC/POS) you're pretty much on your own when it comes to resolving what you want to do...
