I am trying to get amazon to work with my (model number UN46F6400AF) 46" Series 6 TV added to smart things so I can turn it on and off with alexa devices (smart show 5, show 8, pixel 6). When I go to add the device to smart things under the Samsung products listed I cannot find my TV. My tv is wireless ready, connected, and samsung account is logged in. My tv has something called Smart Hub but I cannot search the Samsung apps and find SmartThings or Amazon Alexa. My firmware is on the latest update version. Can anyone help me? I just want to be able to use Alexa to turn my TV on and off, then display my Wyze cam whenever a person is detected. Not asking much. It already works with my FireTV

Your post did not clearly indicate if you have a Smart Things Hub for z-wave device control, but if you have a z-wave hub, then a Z-Wave Smart Plug would give the ability for on/off power controls. Alternatively (no hub), The resolution might be locating a preferred Wifi Smart Plug that works with the Amazon Alexa voice assistant to gain on/off functions of the TV using the Smart Plug.

But if you already have the fire TV stick and like it, you can just add an IR blaster which works with smartthings. I myself use the SwitchBot mini hub for this. The manufacturer has provided a smartthings integration which is a little clunky but does work. Basically you have to set up a scene in the SwitchBot app that will turn the TV on or off and then you can access that scene in Smartthings like it was a switch.

thread Hijack: I want to stick with Samsung to replace a dated Samsung 46" TV that will support NETFLIX and Amazon Prime. It has to be a 46" TV because it is behind a 2 way flush mounted mirror and inside a recess to make the mirror look like, err, a mirror. It is not a Mirror TV. Every search i am doing brings ups up yeah no problem mate come here & get your 46" Samsung TV but when you do that it returns every size except 46". All i want is a Samsung 46" TV that will give NETFLIX & Prime, not being able to find a NEW Samsung 46" TV is disturbing

You might get a faster response if you ask on the official Samsung television forum. It has Samsung employees responding, so they might know. (This forum is for customers to help other customers with the home automation platform.)

according to samsung consultant: " Please note that due to the software update of the TV Netflix is no longer compatible with the TV." I feel Samsung (^^&&) us as his client again, to buy new tv's or smart boxes. Is there an older firmware for?
Model Code: UA40F6400
Software Version: T-MST12DEUC-2127.0

We understand your frustration, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please note that the decision to discontinue support for certain TV models and apps is made by Netflix, not Samsung. As of August 9, 2023, Netflix has decided to phase out support for older devices, including some Samsung TVs, in order to maintain a high-quality user experience on supported platforms.

I have a Samsung UA55D6400, 55" Series 6. For some reason I can't get netflix working. When I go into properties of the smart hub it says "Netflix ESN: Not supported", does that means this tv can't use the netflix app? Other than connecting a laptop via hdmi is there any other way to get the netflix app working on the tv?

Open the TV menu
Go to SYSTEM and scroll down to GENERAL
Locate SAMSUNG INSTANT ON and make sure it is set to OFF
Turn off the TV and turn it back on
Open the Smart Hub and open Netflix
Log in if you need to and it works!!!

The ESN was missing from our 6400 series LED telly but we could find no way to add it.
PLaced a call via email and got a reply within 24 hours. What's more it worked. Not sure why Samsung asked for the different network, but I did it as suggested.
To see if the esn is missing go into menu>support>contact Samsung, scroll down to the second page.

If the ESN is missing, Netflix is unable to function. The Netflix ESN can be restored by following these steps:
1. The latest software needs to be installed on the TV
2. Perform a factory reset. To do this, follow these steps:
a. Put the TV in standby mode
b. In quick succession, press INFO > MENU > MUTE > POWER
c. Select Options
d. Select Factory Reset
e. The TV will now turn off
f. You must power on the TV yourself
g. The TV will now be reset to its factory settings
3. Now, connect the TV to a different internet connection. To do this, use your mobile phone as a hotspot if possible. (Data charges may apply).
4. Whilst connected to a different internet connection, wait for the ESN to be loaded (may take up to 5 minutes).
5. Now, reconnect to the original internet connection and check if Netflix is operational.
Hope this helps somebody
