Dear All,

I would request our leaders to take up with the management the burning problem being faced by many agents in the twin cities of Hyderabad & Secunderabad.  Most of our policy holders are receiving telephone calls from Girls who speak in Hindi and now even in English. Informing them that LIC has made lot of profits in the Delhi Metro and it has declared Bonus and they should not inform their agent. They need to reveal some of their details to the telecaller to enable them to deposit the Bonus in their a/c.

Why LIC should not release an advertisement in all medias informing the policy holders not to reveal any of their details if some telecallers call them.  They should inform all the policy holders that LIC does not ask for their personal details on the phone.  Creating awareness in the policy holders just like the banks do to their clients.  I am sure this will go a long way in serving better our policy holders.

We can understand the mental agony of the agents with regards to the in adequate products available with LIC and delay in launching new suitable and friendly products. This matter has come for the discussions in recent E.C. Meeting of LIAFI held on 20th & 21st  June 2014 at Bhubaneswar.
 
Majority of delegates of the said meeting were expressed their concern in this regard and decided to take up this matter with the  concerned officials at LIC of India and Insurance Regulator.
 
Accordingly, the LIAFI has initiated its measures to have a discussion with the management. The management also invited the LIAFI representatives on 30th July 2014 to discuss the issues of mutual concern at Central Office, Mumbai. The first point in the Agenda will be the discussion on new suitable products.
 
Further, I would like to inform you that we have an appointment with concerned officials in next week; a Delegation from the LIAFI would meet and discuss this matter with the IRDA and will come to know the facts of delaying the approval of products.
 
The IRDA has issued exposure Draft on Guidelines on Replacement of Life Insurance Policies. The main objective of these guidelines are not to surrender, lapse or make paid up of an existing Life Insurance  contract for taking a new Life Insurance Policy. Please go through the draft guidelines attached herewith for your kind information.
 
Therefore, you are all hereby requested to send your views, suggestions and opinions on the above draft guidelines and also send points to be discussed with the LIC Management in the ensuing LIAFI representatives meeting to be held on 30th July 2014.

EXACTLY. LIC SHOULD PRINT ADS IN LOCAL AND NATIONAL DAILY AS WELL.

FEW DAYS BACK MY CLIENT ALSO GOT A CALL FROM DELHI SAYING THAT LIC HAS DECLARED A BONUS OF 8 LACS IN HIS POLICY AND AGENT IS NOT GOING TO INFORM, BECAUSE IF POLICY HOLDER DOES NOT TAKE 8 LACS THEN AGENT WILL GET 10 % OF THE SAID BONUS AMOUNTING TO RS 80000.

NOW HERE IS CATCH POINT. MY PARTY HAS A J.SARAL POLICY. OF WHICH HIS ANNUAL PREMIUM IS 30000. AND IT IS 4 YEARS OLD POLICY. WHERE IN MY PARTY HAS JUST PAID 120000 HOW CAN LIC DISTRIBUTE BONUS AMOUNTING TO 800000. 

HE HIMSELF CALLED ME AND HAD A BIG LAUGH OVER PHONE INFORMING ME ABOUT THE CALL DETAILS. WHEN I ASKED THE NOS FROM HIM AND WHEN I CALLED ON THAT NUMBER IT WAS FROM DELHI BUT PHONE WAS NOT CONNECTING, THEY HAVE OUT GOING FACILITY BUT INCOMING IS NOT ALLOWED.

DEAR FRIENDS WHO SO EVER IN GROUP IS BEST IN LETTER DRAFTING KINDLY DRAFT A LETTER ADDRESSING TO OUR RESPECTED POLICY HOLDERS INFORMING THEM ABOUT SUCH INCIDENTS. 

AT LEAST WE CAN FORWARD THAT DRAFT LETTER TO ALL OUR CLIENTS AND MAKE THEM ALERT.

PL SOME ONE FROM GROUP MEMBER TAKE HIS INITATIVE.

I do not agree with what Gautam Ji view about we drafting a letter to all policy holders.  It is the Corporations duty to enlighten the Policy holders who have high trust on the Corporation. If an official communication is sent via TV/Radio/ Newspapers telling policy holders that it is not a practice in LIC that they entrust any telecaller with the policy holders details to call them & inform them about any accruals in their a/c. Also inform them that they should not reveal any of their personal details like a/c no or PAN card details etc. This is generally given by all banks to safe guard their clients from falling prey to such frauds.
 
I do not understand the reason behind LIC sitting pretty looking at all these happening to their policy holders & agents reputations. I think they r reluctant to initiate action as many of their direct recruited agents are calling policy holders with the contact numbers available in the system. If they release such advertisement then public will not entertain them too thus they hesitating to take any steps in this direction.
 
Our leaders when they meet the management they have to take up this matter with all seriousness and insist that they start releasing advertisement in this regard to save the policy holders & Agents reputations.

dear anilji and gautamji the problem is with lic marketing department and with our agents. i will tell you how now lic has started a new service where client will be informed thru sms when his proposal gets numbered or it is passed in green channel... now do a experiment give one no. mobile no. of yours which is registerd with sales dept. and give another also yours which the lic doesnt know see the result in 6 months you will start getting sms and calls on the other no. regarding lic products ....i have tried u see yourself ...so in neft forms loan forms surrender forms lic receipts please dont mention your client no. if you want to save your client data

Gautam ji. When the corporation in not taking action our representatives r supposed to forcefully put it before them and take commitment from them that they will take immediate action in this regard. This is what agents expect their representative to do..
