As far as I know one individual agent can't sell policies of two life insurance providers according to IRDA instructions & rule. I want to know can a LIC agent will be eligible for PLI/ RPLI agency because PLI/RPLI is not under IRDA rule.
If there is any agent in this who are workinng both with LIC & POSTAL LIFE pls give your contact details.

Thanks & Regards

 Dear Mr. Premanshu Das,

A.Though the Postal Life Insurance is not regulated by the IRDA, the activity of postal and LIC is similar with different kinds of
    functions.

B. There is a provision in the Club Rules of LIC that not only agent but  also any member of LIC agent's family has taken agency with any
other Life Insurer, then the agent working with LIC shall not be eligible for entry and continuation of  any club.

C. As per the  IRDA Licensing of Insurance Agents Regulations 2000, the license will be issued to act as Insurance agent for one life
Insurer or one General Insurer or Both.

D. According to Section 44 of Insurance Act 1938, if any agent or after his ceasing to act as such agent he does not directly or
indirectly solicit or procure insurance business for any other person. otherwise the such agent may lose his renewal commission.

I hope that you may get clarification for your doubt from the above subject matter.

Thanks & Regards

Good Morning Chary Sir, LIC has come out with ULIP reinvestment option. Now the question is all the money reinvested goes to a single deposit, thus all family members cannot be allotted the partial amount. I tried to speak to BM, MM, SDM, also people in IT depts, and the reply is, Central Office gives a special programme to convert these single BOC's to Block BOC's. Till date no such update is available, can we get this expedited as MDRT commn has to be run on 7/1/14 I.e tommorrow & we have cases which are still held up for numbering. Please through some light on the matter at the earliest.
This problem may be universal, i.e may be any many branches. Can anybody share their experience of the same.
Regards
