Dear Mr jain,

Greetings of the day!!!

Though your intentions were good when you shared these policy numbers but I think this is unprofessional and against the ethical conduct of a professional.

please follow your fiduciary responsibility and avoid putting such personal finance of client in public domain.

i hope you will understand that it will create negative  image of LIC as well its workforce and clients may stop sharing their personal details or doing business which will affect all of us.

these information are very very sensitive and demands secrecy.

Regards

Neeraj Chauhan

Dear Agents
there is no secrecy in LIC . I usally do not like to disclose the details of my policy holders. One of my policy holder had received SB  cheque of ten thousand rupees. The cheque got stale and this matter was known to me and the staff of LIC. I got the new cheque in lieu of the stale cheque .When i phoned the wife of the policy holder that a new cheque has been issued in lieu of the stale cheque in the name of her husband and it is with me I was surprised to hear from her that one agent from Panjim branch visited her home to inform her of the stale cheque and gave her some forms and wanted to know how that particular agent got this information. That means some agents have access to knowledge of most of the thing happening in other branches. Could someone explain to me this ? The stale cheque was issued by lic 91 F Mapuca. Albert

Dear Albert,

I can understand your pain and grievance.

This happens to many of us bcoz of greed, unprofessional and unethical behavior by very few agents who are short sighted.

Please understand that we can't change others but we can certainly control our behavior and actions.

if we change ourselves the entire system will change.

i hope one day it will change for better.

Dear Albert Desouza Great Greetings to you

You raised one good question in our group. your straight question is how that panjim agent got information of that stale cheque.

What I observed, LIC started the new marketing channel that is DSC (Direct Sales Channel) This Direct Sales Excutives fellows are getting information from their whole division branches information regarding

1) SB Payments made but returned to LIC not yet claimed.
2) Maturities not claimed
3) Orphan policy holders means those agents terminated
4) Now recenty every Division started their own  CRM Center offices in every City. Prospects or Customers Called to them for any enquiry regarding new products or any service, the CRM people sending the DSE's to attend
the same.

Its may be your case also.

Dear Sir
Thanks for your letter. That has solved lots of misunderstanding in my mind and also my policy holders. Though I have been in this field for more than two decades I feel ashamed that we are not aware as to what is going on in LIC. If our division had to take a little interest and have a monthly magazine briefing the latest invention in LIC it would give us a new life. this magazine should give us latest circulars, latest  development etc. If they cannot give us a magazine at least the branch should have a notice board where all these things are highlighted .Can someone do this ? Like I read in newspaper that from october 1st LIC will directly transfer the SB maturity cheques to the accounts. Since an advertisment has appeared we are aware of this fact or else I would be the first one to argue with the concern officer and then come back dissappointed. Albert de souza

Dear SB Chary and the Group.

This liafis...@googlegroups.com might have been started with good intentions to share information with each other concerning our profession.  It might also help each other in exchanging ideas, alleviate difficulties and find solutions to the problems faced by our fellow Agents while conducting our day-to-day business in the insurance offices, vis-à-vis-customers.

Having said that it is painful to know that, of late, certain information being shared is not in the interest of our customers.  Sharing the personal portfolios and profiles of clients, be it petty and small clients or high profile HNI Category, going public with specific details of Policies, do not augur well in the industry, and I expect our Advisors to follow the Code of Ethics of the Profession.  Our Agents should be ever mindful of complete compliance and observance of the Code of Ethics and serve our customers with highest quality standards, which is beneficial to the Public and the insurance and Financial services profession at large.  One of the Ethics an Agent must practice and follow is :

“Hold in strictest confidence, and consider as priviledged, all business and personal information pertaining to your clients’ affair.”

I belong to MDRT, so must be some of you.  Please desist from indulging unethical practices and conduct your practice professionally for the good of our clients and industry.

Attached please find “Code of Ethics” of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), to place it prominently before you.

Dear Anand Ji,

I totally agree with you. Those people who think that they would show it to get some weightage from their clients in terms of sales should know that it would actually shake their confidence in us & our organization that we cannot protect their personal financial information neither our company. This would give a bad image to our company & our community. So friends, keep in the mind the ethics & code of conduction not just of MDRT but of this profession. We can show our policies to clients for which we are authorized or maximum our family members policies / information but revealing one client’s information to other mean a breach of trust with your client.

With Best Regards,

Dear Friends
The premium paid on lic policy cannot exceed 20% of sum assured to get benefits for the income tax. In Bhima bachat policy if one takes a policy of one lakh and pays seventy thousand and something he gets only twenty thousand as tax rebate. Those who say that Bhima bachat premium does not have tax benefits is wrong. Please check the same with a Chartd. Account in your neightbourhood. albert de souza
