Who is an LIC Agent ?

LIC's Pillar of Strength

Face of LIC to the people of India

Premium brought by an agent from the people is used for building India's Infrastructure

Yet he is given an A4 paper with a stamp size photo pasted on it

and Licence validity date printed on it and signed by "Official"

And this precious piece of paper to be laminated by the LIC Agent himself.

(Oh so poor Life Insurance Corporation of India -- You don't have money to laminate and give that to the agent)

The policies followed by LIC management with regard to treating LIC agents may be bad.

But an LIC Agent still loves LIC.

He loves the various types of insurance policies that cater to a wide variety of people.

He loves his branch.

He loves the staff in his branch.

He aspires to qualify for MDRT, COT or TOT and LIC's Corporate Club.

The newly designed beautiful LIC Id card with bright colored rope worn by staff, DOs, SBAs is superb. 

And the higher official who came from Divisional Office to my branch said today (Feb 22 2017)

 - (am paraphrasing)

"This newly designed ID card costs Rs. 60. How can LIC spend 60 * 10000 agents. Its a huge amount.

(Only 57 agents who qualified in a recently held ID card contest in our branch were given new cards.

What about all the CM/ZM/DM/BM/DA Club and Non Club Agents.)

And the climax of all

The other day when I walked into DLF CyberCity Chennai in my 8000 Rs. Raymonds suit and tie,

with the FChFP pin (Fellow Chartered Financial Practitioner course offered by Life Underwriters Guild of India-www.lugi.org

through Asia Pacific Financial Services Authority, Singapore) neatly pinned to my suit, the security asked me to show my id card.

He saw that ordinary paper laminated card and looked at me top to bottom and asked, "क्या LIC एजेंट को ऐसा ID card देता है ? (Does LIC give such ID card to agents)

Somebody please tell me the answer for this quuestion.

Same issue I have raised longback, when the deligates had meeting with the LIC to put forward.

If LIC feels Rs.60 is a big amount, let them recover from commission. 

Today in Corporate world, ID have the big value. Even a smallest company where 10 people working also issue a beautiful ID.

Sometimes people feel we are bogus agent by showing A4 size paper id.

Its my request also, respected leaders take it seriously

The same way when I went to handover A big value policy to One of my client, I saw one of private company's  policy in Very nice special type of folder with the Name of that company On it. I took back our policy purchased folder form market @250 and delivered. Why can't LIC do the same.??
