I got a a MSI HETIS 865GV-E with celeron D 2.8gHz
_865GV ... e/Overview
This machine has only 1 2 pci slots but 1 slot is broken.
For the video card, installed a Diamond Stealth III S540 32MB.
The board feature intel Extreme Graphics 2. For win98SE games, this IGP will works well?
I have a pci voodoo 2000 and banshee but the machine is hot a lot.
The i865gv-e is a faster i845gv which is a really good retro-igp.
The DOS compatibility is excellent. The features are good (s3tc).
I had an issue with "soldier of fortune", the framerate is shortly extremly low while shoot an enemy and displaying a sort of flashlight. I can't figure out what causes this.
Another thing is that there was no fullscreen in Win2k for Crack-Remakes (
remakes.org).
there are no unlocked p4 processors, all are multiplier locked, in many motherboards you can change fsb and voltage, it has nothing to do with being locked. being a prescott, it may feature speedstep, that way you can lower the multiplier, but still that computer should not be that hot.
That stuttering sound within win9x is a problem my solo1 with wdm-drivers has too in that FSC-C100 (i845gv) machine.
Also some strange noises whithin unreal-engine-games are clearly audible. I'll have to do some more testing.
The extreme-gfx is still fine for retro. It can take the advantage of jazz2 640x400@8bit with the stutterung-free scrolling.
Removed S4 pro and put a Aureal vortex 1. No more stutters even using daemon tools. Starcraft no more stuter and mcuh better than ac97
Now another Problem: No driver for SB emulation I got the Error n. 6
EDIT after updating with intel chipset drivers from Phils and messing around the bios, i got sb emulation.
As per the title, if I install any version of kernel 6.4 or 6.5rc I get extreme graphics corruption both on the desktop and the vt. Kernels 6.3 and 6.1 do not cause this problem. The effect is difficult to describe but looks like the all text/graphics are scrolling sideways at very high speed making using either the desktop or vt impossible, I have to do a hard shut down and boot to an older kernel to post this. Anyone got any ideas?
Allows the user to select Supreme, Ultimate or Extreme graphic levels via the in-game graphics option menu. No need to manually edit your own ini file. No longer see setting menu drop to low when going beyond Ultra settings.
Are the AMD Graphics drivers for the Ally only available from Asus? I cant seem to find the Ryzen Z1 Extreme drivers listed on the AMD website, or any drivers listing the Radeon 780M, or even the 7840U, and the graphics drivers provided by Asus dont match the latest from AMD.
I've actually got myself a different device, with the same iGPU (which is a Rog Flow x13 2023) and I actually have a similar problem, where I can't seem to get the drivers for the Radeon 780M anywhere else but a) Windows Update b) Asus website. From what I was able to check in the device manager it seems these are the exact same drivers. Thing is they don't work properly for me (I have driver crashes and screen flickering in browser issues) which is why I was looking for a newer AMD directly one. Using the dGPU only completely removes all the issues. Does the Rog Ally have any sort of issues with the iGPU like the ones I do?
Ive been having a problem, testing what mod was causing it, till I replicated it in vanilla, and kept replicating it on new maps on my serverblend server, to the point they gave me a separate test server to chase the cause down. I would drill into a mountain, build a floor and build a drill ship off the floor. The ship, when flying, would skip up down, or sideways while going straight. It would stop and appear in that direction. Heres a link of what is was doing, I am no good at explaining it. -kLt3vG87E Upon my friend turning his graphics to ultra, he was finally having it happen to him as well, but even worse because his computer doesnt have the hardware mine does. At this time, i discovered it was the voxel graphics setting, but setting everything to low and having no issues. I then turned on extreme, and instantly started skipping the ship and my framerates dropped. I hope this helps, and Much appreciation to serverblend for their awesome support!
Please zip the file and attach it here. If you are having difficulty attaching files you can optionally use Google Drive. When sharing a google drive link please make sure it is set to be downloadable by anyone with the link.
I have actually just done a clean install of the game, as I am working on some mods of my own. However I couldn't get a save file with it happening, because I can not replicate it on a private server. It's only on my serverblend server, and the second server they gave me to test it on too. After we thought it was the voxel graphics setting extreme, i restarted the map, did everything again and got the bug again with low voxel graphics on. At this point I kinda just gave up with building anything underground. I spent a good week and a half to two weeks testing and replicating that bug. Anyway to get a save file from my serverblend server? I'll try to replicate it again if so, maybe someone can just join the server, join my faction and hop in a ship and maybe build a small one real quick to see? I think they still have my test world up, which has no mods still so maybe u can join that one to see the problem in vanilla.
Are you still having this issue on the latest version 197.170. If so, is this only happening on your particular servers or is it happening on any you join as well as the Serverblend servers? I appreciate you mentioned not being able to replicate it on a private server but wondered through the join menu for example on the Keen official servers.
I'm trying to use a 19" Widescreen LG Flatron l196wtq monitor, which supports a maximum resolution of 1440x900. In Windows, I can select a resolution higher than that, but "Out Of Range" shows up (which is expected). There is no option for 1440x900, so I have to use 1600x900 which makes the text and icons in Windows look a little stretched.
