The connected satellite is then connected to the TP Link which the Fire stick and a Virgin box also connect to, the firestick then connects to the TV via a usb port, the TV box connects via a HMDI cable.

download firestick

It's just the iptv, all the other stuff on the firestick, Amazon Prime, Youtube is all working - yes it has the Armor on, and it keeps on saying it's blocked something on the firestick, which I believe is probably the iptv, but every time i try and access security in the Orbi app, it crashes

I've recently got crunchyroll subscription but my smart TV doesn't have crunchyroll app. Leaving me the option to buy firestick. Now I've seen many posts regarding firestick being a bad experience for crunchyroll. So is it still true ? Is it still bad for crunchyroll ?

So just recently changed to at&t my smart TVs work my computer that is connected to the server work but my firestick and my kids ps4 wont log in it sends us to at&t registration page any help will be appreciated thanx

For now I've set up my router to split 2.4ghz and 5ghz into separate ssid. I use the firestick on 5Ghz and other devices on 2.4ghz. The firesticks ssid is now on 5Ghz band and not interfering with 2.4Ghz band

Just came back on the Oct 10 Prima cruising, and had no issue plugging my firestick into the HDMI port and changing the source. I had loaded TV shows and movies on USB and used the firestick to watch it.

You may not need to worry about whether the playback device will be a firestick if it regular video subtitles you are looking for. Video subtitles are not generally associated with a particular device, unless you are intending to make them on the fly on that particular device - see note below.

I'm using a Samsung sound bar with a TV and a firestick and have all sorts of audio sync issues when using Dolby digital output. The AV sync, although set in the firestick settings, would change between different media.

I have to say, I don't believe this is a Samsung issue specifically, but perhaps all devices that may use HDR over HDMI 2.0 (not HDMI 2.1)..... so older TV's etc. In my case, I struggled with a Firestick 4k and the audio sync settings required, changing from one type of media to another. I've seen other posts on this forum and wonder if others have this issue too, so thought Id post.

**TLDR** change the firestick "Dynamic Range Settings" to "Always HDR", rather than "Adaptive". This will keep the audio sync standardized across all apps on the firestick and sound bars or amplifiers linked to the firestick.

The reason being, NON-HDR content and Stereo (or PCM) requires less bandwidth, as such there is no delay with ALL the image and audio data arriving on time at the TV. So all of a sudden the audio is therefore out of sync again and you have to re-adjust it for that app, or you just think your firestick/sound system is rubbish and give up on Dolby 5.1 or greater......

EXPLANATION (as simple as I can put it here)
When a firestick "Dynamic Range Settings" is on "Adaptive" it switches the image between Standard and HDR as it feels necessary. So a film on Netflix/Prime/Disney etc will typically play as HDR content (if your TV supports its etc) utilizing MORE of the HDMI 2.0 bandwidth. Apps like Youtube or where the content isn't HDR, will switch to a standard image, using LESS of the HDMI 2.0 bandwidth.

If you set ALL display output to "Always HDR" then even NON-HDR will be sent out as the HDR standard, so it always consumes the same amount of bandwidth, therefore always requiring the same audio delay (about 4x dots away from the right side end of the AV-Sync firestick app......in my tests at least).

So I'm in a suite on Oasis of the Seas so I am lucky have free streaming zoom. Brought a recently purchased 4k firestick. I managed to get it plugged in despite the TV not pivoting from the wall. The TV was "hanging" on its wall mount in a recessed wall.

To get room to reach behind the TV, I had to grab the TV on the sides and lift slightly while sliding it left. Left because the HDMI inputs are on the right. Then pulling from the bottom gave just enough room for an arm to fit between the TV and wall. Quite the guessing game to fit the firestick in HDMI 1 slot. It was just above the wired input already there.

Now turning (plug in) the firestick on and go to settings, then network. Click on WiFi-Guest-Oasis. This will connect you to the ship but not sign you in. It will say "no internet " under the WiFi-Guest-Oasis at the network menu.

What I never found described by any other post was, what do I do to get signed in. Note the 4k firestick, when connecting to WiFi-Guest-Oasis, did not ask me to input a user name and password. All the ship IT would tell me was I needed a browser. Well Silk Browser is all I had installed.

I'm not the OP but will give my best answers here... I would think you need a browser on the firestick, Silk is the amazon brand browser, so yeah...like Chrome but just the Amazon version instead of the google version. I'm not sure why that didn't work for the OP, as it should have opened up like a web browser and allowed them to access the login page. Roku and firestick are very similar, a firestick does come with its own remote to access all of the content, so you don't need to use your phone to control it. Downloader is an app within the firestick, once a firestick is plugged into the tv and powered on, you will see a list of pre- loaded apps, and downloader would be one of them...but again, this is the part I'm not 100% sure on, which is why that was needed instead of just the browser. Hope I helped a little, and for both of our knowledge (I'm sailing in 6 weeks and planned of bringing a firestick) hopefully the OP can jump in on the stuff I wasn't sure of.

Silk Browser and downloader are apps on your firestick. To sign into Voom you are doing that through a working browser app on the firestick. A remote control comes with every firestick and that is how you control the firestick apps and settings etc. You are of course viewing all this on the TV.

Same playback error with firestick 4k purchased in 2021. Roku 1.0.70. Updated, uninstallex, reinstalled with no change. Live television works but all other programming on the app reads playback error. Unfortunately we were unable to play this content. Please try again later.

So I have a firestick 4K and heavily use a IPTV and the latency with my old nighthawk was averaging 8.75 and now that I have this system the latency averages 11. Yes the download speed is faster but that is not what I was looking for as various channels lag and that is what I am trying to get rid of and since I can't run cables I was hoping this mesh system was going to fix it all....sadly it did not. Can I plug the firestick network adapter directly into one of the access points and lower the latency?

Speed wise I was averaging 256 down with my nighthawk and these are giving me closer to 470 down. That is great, but doesn't help with latency or end user experience when watching 4K movies.

I have one plugged directly into the ATT modem on 2nd floor, centrally located. The other one is wifi connected on the 1st floor next to main TV on the fireplace mantel. The 3rd on is wifi connected on the 1st floor back in the master bath.

I have Mgm + through my Fios plan. I can watch a movie on my Android phone, but cannot watch a movie on my firestick. Movie starts, freezes and then firestick crashes and then reboots. Tried all recommended fixes. Any help would be appreciated.
