((Forwarding this from our good friends at the Pennsylvania Medical Society - which is working hard to ensure quality care in Pennsylvania.  Please utilize whatever social media in which you engage to get out the message that doctors and nurses working together as a team is better for Pennsylvania's patients.....thank you!  DBR))

Hello,

Today, the nurse practitioners lobby is holding a rally at the capitol to support two bills that would allow NPs to practice without physician collaboration. PAMED opposes these bills (House Bill 765, Senate Bill 717) and today is releasing results from a patient poll that says nearly 8 out of 10 Pennsylvanians would not support NP independent practice.

We’ve created content that we’re distributing on social media and are asking for your help in posting, sharing and/or retweeting it.

Below are links to PAMED’s social media accounts. If you are willing to help, we ask that you go to these links and share these items. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Note: The nurses are using the hashtag #CareForPA – in order to be part of the conversation, we ask that you do the same. Another common hashtag that lawmakers and their staff use is #PaPolitics
