Dear Physician Colleague,

My name is Vanila Singh, MD. I’m an anesthesiologist and Pain management 
physician at Stanford Medical center and I’m running for US Congress in 
California. While our medical professional organizations are trying their best 
to represent the interests of patients and physicians in a changing healthcare 
environment, they are losing the battle.  Whatever your views on current 
healthcare reform legislation or your political ideology, most practicing 
physicians agree our system is a mess and not definitively changing in patient’s 
interests.

The chance to elect a physician to the US Congress is rare – and my candidacy 
has a real chance of success.  That’s why it is being supported by the American 
Medical Association, The American Society of Anesthesiology, The American 
College of Radiology, among others. I aim to be a staunch physician and patient 
advocate – opposing the Independent Practice Advisory Board, wholesale cuts to 
primary care and specialties, and abolishing the flawed SGR formula which 
threaten and devalue our practices yearly. I will also work tirelessly to bring 
tort reform to the forefront of the national discussion on healthcare – to reign 
in the Medical Malpractice industry which has developed to prey on our sacred 
relationship with our patients.

My campaign is facing a tough but winnable primary challenge this month in the 
midterm elections. Physicians need to understand they are a powerful and 
credible voice in the national healthcare debate. With your help, we can win, 
and move one step closer. Won’t you please consider donating "$10 or $20" to my

physician voice – your voice – into Congress.
