Essential Responsibilities and Duties
* Adhere to all company policies and regulations
* Execute all assigned jobs
* To promote the use of all customer interface products and value-added services
* Provide technical support with customized solutions to the Sales force
* Provide ongoing customer interface product training for the Sales force
* Provide direct support to customers including site visits
* Install, configure, troubleshoot, and support customer interface applications in a Windows environment.
* Install, configure, troubleshoot, monitor and support web sites and web services.
* Evaluates and tests new and existing software programs prior to implementation. Develops test data and assist with cross-functional testing and integration of products at customer site.
* Develops and maintains IT manuals and guidelines as they pertain to supported applications
Skills and Experience
* 3+ years product applications support experience
* Experience with PC software and hardware installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
* Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office and operating systems
* Sound understanding of software development and rollout procedures
* Knowledge of IT helpdesk operations
* Qualified candidates must be a quick learner and self-sufficient.
* Strong troubleshooting skills.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve set goals.
* Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
* Able to prioritize multiple tasks and quickly change focus to high priority items.
* Exercises good judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions to problems and service requests
* Candidate must have excellent customer skills.
* The ability to communicate well across multiple departments is required to facilitate problem resolution and escalations.
Additional Knowledge & Skills
* In-depth knowledge of software application support processes within an organization with complex business requirements.
* Basic knowledge and experience with SQL, JAVA, HTML, XML is a plus
* Network+, A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) certification is preferred
* Familiarity with EDI transactions and data flows
* Understanding of the transportation industry is a plus
Education
* Equivalent of college degree, Associate degree, Network+, A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) certification or minimum 5 years work experience
Work Conditions
* On-call availability 24 x 7 x 365 (6)
* Sitting for extended periods of time
* Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and to handle other computer components
* Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
* MUST have the flexibility to travel in North America several times per year
