Signing up for Fall State: It's not too late to sign up! Since we are
already registered, we can always add more delegates, but you should
let us know this week--preferably by tomorrow's meeting.
Signups for debates: So glad to hear we have a great turnout for
debate signups! We currently have 8 debaters/moderators sign up YAY!
If you would still like to participate in a debate or moderate, you
can sign up on Debateware for open slots:
http://jsa.debateware.com

your parents tonight if they can either provide rides to and/or from

Dress Code: Dress code is business formal, except during leisure hours
and the dance, when you can change into casual clothes. There will be
a dance Saturday night, so you may also want to pack appropriately.
Business attire (GUYS--business suit, tie, slacks OR dress shirt, tie,
slacks; GIRLS--business suit OR blouse, skirt/slacks OR business-type
dress)
Packing List: See the files uploaded on the Google Groups—I put
together a helpful list so that you won’t forget anything!
Money: Food cost is not included in the registration fee, so you will
have to bring money for Saturday’s lunch and dinner and Sunday’s
breakfast and lunch. There are many dining options just across the
street from the Marriott:
Togo’s, Round Table Pizza, Sushi Express, Bennigan’s, IHOP, etc.
We will be having dinner on Saturday as a chapter
Convention Rules: (Reminder)
1. You must abide by school rules, even at JSA—you will be punished if
you have drugs or alcohol. Please nada por favor!
2. At 8 PM, we meet with our T/A for roll call and may not leave the
hotel after that time for ANY reason. You must remain quietly in your
own rooms after curfew. T/As will be patrolling the halls after
curfew.
3. You must attend all conference activities. No goofing off :P Roll
call may be taken, so please represent Lynbrook rightly!
4. Rooms must stay separated—no girls in guys and vice versa.
5. Do not leave the hotel without permission of T/A (except during
meal times). Stick together!
6. Wear your nametag at all times—you will not be able to get into
debates/dance without it!
7. Do not charge room service or any other services pertaining to
charging from the hotel. No food deliveries after curfew. No outside
phone calls can be made from the rooms.
8. No visitors allowed in the hotel.
9. Dress appropriately and conduct yourselves—uphold the reputation of
JSA and most importantly, Lynbrook’s! We want to keep going to these
conventions every year!
10. Valuables are at risk of getting lost, being stolen—bring them at
your own risk! JSA is not responsible should something happen to them.
11. Any photographs/videos taken are for promotional purposes (you
signed the permission form knowing this).
Region: We are in the Golden Gate Region (GGR).
T/A: Ms. Estrella will be our T/A at Fall State. She has voluntarily
agreed to take time out of her weekend to help us out, so I expect
that all of you will respect and listen to her.
Arrival/Check-in Registration: Registration is 9:00-10:00 AM. Because
I will not be coming until 1:30ish, Indranil will be handling
registration procedures. You will not be allowed to check into our
rooms (keys are distributed at the end of the day at the chapter
caucus), so you will store our luggage in a designated room with
everyone else’s. LABEL YOUR LUGGAGE. Make sure you take the things you
will need for the day—you will not be able to get anything from out of
your luggage until nighttime. You might want to carry your valuables
with you.
