Hello folks,

I going to finish my own CPS for TYT MD-380 DMR radio following new changes at UK DMR scene...

It will be coverage ALL UK digital RPT on Phoenix UK network, BrandMeister UK network, SW Cluster and SALOP network.
Also all Analogue RPT on 70cm
Probably some services, both oin analogue and digital from commercial scene.

Basic facts about my own mind map:

- RPT will be oriented and ordered by my obviously usage.

Means, firstly will be London and surroundings areas on DMR, on analogue, following all other Phoenix UK RPTs, and then followings all other analogue repeaters at UK.
Next will be BM UK, SW C, and SALOP networks

Each repeater, separate ZONE. All related TGs at each repeater.

Exclusion: at first position will be ZONE with all London and surroundings Phoenix UK repeaters TG9 - Local (I will explain it later)

- Digital RX groups will follow as:

1) Local TGs 9 (TS 1, TS 2)
2) UK wide TGs (235, 80, 81)
3) Word Wide TGs
4) ROAMING TGs (8xx)

If will be tuned GB7NS and TG235, radio will also listening TG80 and TG81 and serve any RX on it, with priority for TG235. Unfortunatelly, TX is possible only on tuned channel with channel knob. If will be tuned on GB7NS and TG13, will also listening at same time TG113 TG123, etc. etc.
It allow monitor all relevant TGs including UA TGs, but not mix "different oriented TGs"

Only at first ZONE, will be allowed listen ALL TGs, relevant to concretely RPT, means, if you are on GB7NS, any TX on any TG come to your radio, with priority to TG9 TS1, or, alternatively only TG9 TS1/TS2 + ROAMING  zones relevant to RPT (TG801 + 803 on NS), will choose after some tests at real traffic.

Radio do not need to put to scanning, to listening more then one TG. Scanning will be reserved to scan RPTs not oriented to TGs, which I prefer.

Scanning groups I would like to have related to separate networks (Phoenix, BM, SW C, Salop, Analogue HAM, Commercial + all HAM + ALL) to let opportunity to choose what scanning.

Unfortunately, TYT MD-380 do not have genuine roaming function, but this can be pretty close to it, with some limitation.

I will put some spare channels, both on analogue, and digital, to allow later programming from keypad on radio, without PC.

After preparing CPS, would like to put around 700 contacts into memory, based on last 1000s heard on Phoenix UK
it allows around 250 more user defined contacts.

Of course, I will provide final CPS here on mailing list, and if someone will be interested, I can help 16th on M0HSL ARC meeting to program his radio (eventually upgrade FW, if still not have last one) with this CPS.

If you have any ideas to make it better, I am open to maintain it, but primary it is my own CPS, related to my own style of use this radio and if someone will be interesting at general one, CodePlugCentralUK will have it within weeks at standard orders of channels, as always.

Hi Stefan,

Not sure if this is the correct thread or if a new one should be created.

You may, and others with MD-380's, find this interesting.
They have revere engineered the firmware to enable undocumented features while also freeing up 200k of ram by removing unused language packs. They have also defeated the encryption that prohibits 'unofficial' firmware.
