Wow what a mess

Yea CERN had a big internet failure..

Internal and external.. It might have effected ALOT of things...
Knocked all sorts of stuff offline.

I can't look anything up yet...

Some systems are back on line..
Not many...

the main CERN web site is still offline..

Well I dont think that will really create much of a delay... I guess it depends on how long it takes to get things back up..

I think it will also take some time to make sure everything is ok...

Well things are slowly returning to normal.. You can bet the poor IT guys have had a rather difficult night.

Actually im sure about everybody at CERN is having a rather difficult night/day

Well,,,,, its IMPORTANT to realize this won't really cause much delay at all, if any..

The project is VERY much ahead of schedule anyway...

Now the question will be if it was a birdy bomber from the future dropping a baguette...

Im sure this will be all over the news shortly.

I think the important thing is that this really has not impacted the schedule at all. Things were way ahead. No big deal...

I must go to sleep as i have to get up in 5 hours and do some work. I will not be able to report anything most likely until tomorrow.

As we get beam again can someone report that here to show its all up and working again please :)
