I have had my TV for 2 months and it has worked perfectly all along until yesterday. I was watching TV and it just went to a blank screen. Now every streaming app I have, Netflix, Hulu, Roku channel, Paramount+, Disney, etc., is not working. They all give me a list of shows to watch, but, when I choose a show and hit play, all I get is a blank screen. Please help!

@Mgangels, something within the TV has failed. The only way to fix it is to take it apart and replace whatever failed (probably the power board). All of these "Roku TVs" are from what I would call not the highest quality brands. It's not really that it's a Roku TV as much as it's probably manufactured by some Chinese company that's not known for producing quality products.

I have a Sharp Aquos TV and a Roku Stick and I am having the same issue. I can see the Roku home screen and all of my apps. When I am in the app I can see the guides and menu, but when I actually choose a show it goes to a black screen and I can still hear the show fine. Only when you choose the show does it go to a black screen.

We're sorry to hear that you're having the same issue. May we know if you've encountered this issue with all the apps/channels or just a particular one? Also, what steps have you taken so far to resolve the issue? Further, could you please provide an image or a video if possible for us to have better visuals?

I purchased my Orbi RBR50 in December of 2017. It was working fine until a couple months ago when it stopped streaming Netflix. Neither the Netflix app built into the TV's nor the Firesticks will load Netflix. All other streaming services are fine. I am able to stream Netflix on my tablet if I do not connect to the Orbi. I am also able to stream Netflix on the tv if I use my phone as a hot spot.

What FW is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the IP modem the Orbi is connected too?

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between them to begin with depending upon building materials.

What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
Try disabling the following and see:
MIMO, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).

My issue was GoogleTV worked fine, but both Amazon and Netflix would show an error screen like, "unable to access this program currently, try again later". When I logged into my Obri router (10.0.0.1), I saw the only DNS entry was pointing at the IP address of my cable modem. So I added the two popular Google DNS entries below the existing one and all is working now.

Modem Combo Units:
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router.

Hi guys. The Microsoft Edge is my favorite browser of all times, really, but not when I try to watch netflix or other video streaming services, it always breaks, I have no ideia what to do anymore. Always when I try to play something there's an error and then I need to reload over and over again, sometimes even when I just play the video it stop working when I try to play again. Help me to keep using this best browser that I've ever seen.

I've ever tried to disable hardware acceleration, enable DRM content, install Microsoft Silverlight and a lot of other things, but I didn't get to watch so far without an error I keep receiving these error codes: D7356-7701 and others related. Is there's still something that can be done to really fix theses erros or I just have to be patient and wait for news versions of the browser?

I have this strange issue where when watching Netflix in either IE11, Edge or Netflix App in full screen mode the display would sometimes flicker or goes black for a few seconds then back to the video. This would happen continuously every 10 second of so during playback.

I did some troubleshooting and discovered that this issue appears to be caused by Intel(R) HD Graphics 530 driver. When disabling the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M driver, the issue still appearing. However, when disabling the 530 driver, the issue seems to go away but video became slightly choppy.

The default 530 driver what came with the PC was .4475 and I have since updated to the latest version .4627. Updating the graphic driver did not solve the issue and I also did a full uninstall and reinstallation of the driver.

I reviewed the post. We have worked as a team to figure out what the cause of the issue is. It is relating to the Microsoft Edge Browser and the Microsoft app. It has nothing to do with the bios or graphics drivers. Brilliant troubleshooting, great effort and splendid diagnosis of the issue to isolate it correctly. Kudos to you for a job well done.:)

If you are able to watch in another browser, your current browser may be experiencing an issue with the Silverlight plug-in used by Netflix. If you're unable to watch in multiple browsers, or if you prefer to use your current browser, continue to the next troubleshooting step.

Hope this helps. Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. Please reach out for any issues and I'll be there to assist you.

This issue happened when I first got the computer in March. It happened first when watching YouTube videos at full screen then I used a workaround by using software rendering to resolve the issue. Now it is happening when I am watching Netflix.

I tried with the NetFlix App and issue is happening there as well. So far it seems like only Chrome is able to handle NetFlix without the flickering. Is there any other way to troubleshoot this issue?

I tested NetFlix on all 3 applications (IE, Edge, App) and it appears that the issue with the flickering at full screen is now fixed. I am not sure if it was due to the steps you have suggested me to do or with the new MS update. This is a really strange issue.

It has been amazing working with you with such profound knowledge of computers and great technical skills. Thank you for sharing this platform and giving me the privilege to share it also. It was a tough nut to crack but we managed to work as a team to figure it out.

Used to go to a green screen and now it is black and you have to totally shut the TV off to get a screen back. So not happy with this soundbar. Nothing but problems since I got it for a Christmas gift for my husband.

The TV is done! Luckily mine was only 9 months old when I got the black screen and under 1 year warranty so I got my money back and got a Samsung. TCL is junk, the Guy who came to look at my TV before me getting reimburse said that he gets many calls with the same issue it is just junk tvs, You're fighting a losing battle trying to get reimbursed if it's been over a year the warranty has expired you're stuck with a junk TV

Marlon Manyweather in a darkened room turn the TV on to a channel where you have sound etc. Then us a flashlight and shine it at an angle against the screen see if you can make out shapes silhouettes etc. If so you know that your backlight is not working. This may require replacing the LCD strips inside the panel or a new power board. You will have to remove the back from your TV and check the power board with a multimeter Post some good images of all of your boards with your question so we an see what you see. Adding images to an existing question

Of course before all of this. Unplug your TV, unplug all devices that are plugged into your TV and then hold the power button down for about a minute or so. Then plug one video source (preferably a local DVD/BR or Game console)in and plug the TV in, restart. See if that resolved it since a bad cable box can sometimes cause a dark screen as well.

TCL repairman came and replaced parts when my tv suddenly went dark for no reason, new parts didn't work either, TCL ended up sending me a check for my tv since it was still under 1st year warranty. Waste of time it took a month for whole process, never again will I buy TCL ended up getting Samsung. I had a 75 inch, only had for 8 months, garbage

TCL made me send pictures of my TV, receipt and video, the hassle alone made me want to say screw it, but I got reimbursed the entire $848, they told me to keep tv because it was too big to pickup so I sold it on Facebook for $150. These TCL tvs are garbage and they know it.
