Hi,
I'm M. S. Aravind Bharadwaj from Bangalore, Karnataka, India. I'm
currently pursuing my undergraduate(currently 3rd year, 6th semester)
in PESIT,
Bangalore.

As i was browsing through your idea list, i came across "Social Media
Data Mining and Analytics". I'm very keen on working on this. I'd like
more details about this, and any references to information you may
already have. I have some basic knowledge in the field of data mining.
Also, i thought this could be used for crowdsourcing information not
only for evacuation routes, but also for traffic in the general sense.
If we had a database of the information about traffic in various
areas, by interacting with the traffic monitoring system of the city,
we could use data mining techniques to order routes to take, which are
now usually ordered based on distance and not based on actual travel
time. By studying the vehicle density statistics, both from the
database and also from any real-time updates (such as traffic jams,
detours due to repair), we could decide on the best route for any
generic purpose.

Similarly data mined can also be analyzed to find new products,
recommend places to people based on their current location and liking.
