To flog EULA stupidity a little more: code is like a recipe. Anyone writing a
recipe (code) to make some exotic sambar can own a copyright on the recipe.
But if i peruse the recipe to make sambar masala (library) or sambar
(binary), the author has no rights over my sambar powder or the sambar made
from either the recipe or the powder. The consequences of EULAs on cookbooks
would be real fun, with per stove, per table seat, per user, per helping
restrictions, no derivative works - what no idli sambar? i protest. No
reverse engineering - coat your tongue with teflon and pincer da nez before
entering this restaurant, by entering this restaurant you agree to never
disclose the taste of our rancid virus laden sambar.
