Dear Ultimate lovers,
this is to inform you of Luxembourg Flying Disc Federation (LFDF) mailing list name update.
The old posting email address " ultim...@googlegroups.com" goes to history. The new one is "LFDF @googlegroups.com" (King is dead - long live the King!!!). This has been done in order to prevent confusion with other mailing list of our competition team Ultimate deLux, whose email address is " ultimat...@googlegroups.com". The difference in appearance should finally be clear now. To remind you, the difference in purpose and use of these lists is following:
LFDF mailing list should have everyone on it (active, non-active, old members, plus friends of LFDF), and keep them officially informed of important things. While there is many email addresses on the mailing list and everyone can post to it, to prevent overhead of irrelevant messages, the list is moderated (system asks administrator to approve every message prior to sending to all addresses). Therefore, the traffic on it is expected to be very low (a message in a month, or less), but very important - don't forget to have yourself signed up there.
Other mailing list, Ultimate deLux, is smaller but far more active. The idea is to have only active members of the team, though it might be slightly bigger than that. The list is free for posting without moderation (still non-written rules of its use for relevant conversation do apply). You are encouraged to use this list to discus things with the rest of the team.
