I have the same problem, but not using snipping tool. In fact, it happens almost each time I change windows. I mean : I am drawing in Aseprite (using any tool), then I browse some websites with Firefox => when I come back to Aseprite : no mouse pointer. Sometimes I can see the pointer lagging 15 sec then vanishing.
I re-installed aseprite and my wacom drivers, the problem still remains, BUT this time if I press alt+tab 2 or 3 times (which means: go to other tabs for a while) and return to aseprite, my tools start working again
So I went to the Wacom driver webpage and saw 6.3.27-2 was the last one. I installed it, and now the mouse pointer disappears way less than before, and like @Nabuco if I press alt+tab 2-3 times everything works again.
If you've lost your driver discs, you're unable to find drivers on the manufacturer's web site or Windows Update can't configure your hardware, use this tool to quickly find and install all missing drivers.
If you're a PC technician, keep Snappy Driver Installer on your USB flash drive or external hard drive and take it with you wherever you go. In environments with no Internet access you can quickly get things working. No more searching for drivers after a clean install, just let Snappy Driver Installer do it's thingand your job will be done in no time.
Many Windows 11 users failed to get the Snipping Tool to work on their machines. Either the tool did not launch, did not take the screenshot, or the screenshot was black (or a portion was covered in black). The issue is reported on upgraded as well as clean installations of Windows 11. For many users, the issue is only limited to multi-display setup. Sometimes, a message like the below is shown:
If the graphics driver of the system is outdated, then its incompatibility with the Windows 11 PC may cause the Snipping Tool issue at hand as the screen snipping process involves the display driver. In this scenario, updating the graphics driver to the latest build may solve the Snipping Tool non-working issue.
HP's notebooks sometimes use a fingerprint scanning product developed by DigitalPersona. Their scanning product causes the same button tooltip problem on flyout toolbars on Rhino 4.0 that is normally caused by Vista/Windows 7's Tablet PC components when a tablet is installed. If turning off Tablet PC components doesn't solve the problem, check the computer for a fingerprint scanner or any related applications, especially the ones that come from DigitalPersona.
Some have seen this problem of linked toolbars not flying out without a Wacom tablet. Several have reported that if a wireless Logitech mouse is used with a Microsoft mouse driver, the toolbar flyouts don't work. Matching up the mouse hardware and driver seems to fix the problem. -JB
This problem was partially fixed with V4 SR4. A problem remains with displaying Tooltips in cascaded (flyout) toolbars. We continue to recommend turning off the Tablet PC Optional Components. -JB
I have been using windows on my computer since I got it three years ago, but I stopped using it when windows 8 was released because I was not a huge fan. I gave Windows 10 a shot because I thought it looked pretty neat. I did everything proper, but the included drivers just don't work. Only the basic stuff works (Broad-com, Intel, Speakers, all that stuff...), but everything else doesn't work (Keyboard, track pad, and all the sensors). Has anyone else had any of these problems? Or any solutions?
How can I fix that? Switching off automatic update will not resolve the problem... because if I install again everything (new windows partition) the latest version of windows 10 will be installed at the start of the process. Is there a way to install again the bootcamp driver?
I modify Windows Updates to manual, check every week. If W10 pushes any drivers, I read through the driver link and ensure that it will not impact any of the Apple/BC drivers, before I let it apply. On a Mac, typically, WHQL drivers are really not needed.
Recently upgraded to W10 (from W7) on my MBP Retina mid-2012 (running El Cap in OS X). Right away the touchpad wasn't working. When updating Boot Camp in Windows, the update fails (don't remember the exact msg - can try to recreate if needed). So I manually updated the Apple drivers. The touchpad works now, but I can see several other problems - 1. in device manager shows warning for couple of the devices including touchpad. 2. there's no audio control on the bottom right panel. 3. the wi-fi connection drops every few minutes. (I can go thru all the diagnostics in more detail if needed).
