I'm using "pistol" as a previewer with both `lf` and `ranger`.

I noticed with `ranger` the previews appear in color, but with `lf` they are not colored.

Is it possible for these previews to appear in color with `lf`? What configuration do I need? Otherwise, the `lf` interface is appearing in color.

I'm using the Alacritty terminal:

COLORTERM=truecolor
TERM=alacritty

Thanks.

Hello,

I have now tried this using both `pistol-git` package from AUR and `pistol v0.3.2` static build from the release page using `alacritty` with the same TERM/COLORTERM variables you mentioned and colors are showing up as expected in my case. I don't know the internals of `pistol` to comment on what might be wrong in your case. You might have better luck opening an issue in `pistol` repo if you can't get a useful answer here. I'm not sure if doronbehar is following this mailing list or not.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for testing!

I’ll do some more experiments in my environment to see how it is different.
