I am trying to install "harrison mixbus 32C-5" for Linux in Ubuntu 18.04. It is distributed as a "Mixbus32C-5.1.0-x86_64-gcc5.run" file. I use the "chmod +x Mixbus32C-5.1.0-x86_64-gcc5.run" instruction to convert and install it. Although the "ch mod ..." seems to pass ok, when I try to run the "Mixbus32C-5.1.0-x86_64-gcc5.run" in the terminal, I get the message "Can't open /home/elichord/Mixbus32C-5.1.0-x86_64-gcc5.run". In another computer that I tried, it worked pristinely. I don't know what the issue may be.I would appreciate any suggestions.

License Availability: The license text never expires, however the link to download your license file is only valid for seven days. If you need to have it resent, please write our support email ( mix...@harrisonconsoles.com ) and we can send you the licenses for all of your products in a timely manner.

License File Name: Each of our products ( Mixbus, Mixbus32C, and various plugins ) have a different license file associated with them. For example, the license file for mixbus is called "license_key_harrison_mixbusX.txt" and it should be saved in your HOME folder, where Mixbus will find the file and use it. It is important that the filename is exactly correct. If you download a file more than once, your browser might append a "(1)" or "-1" to the duplicated file. In this case, you should rename the file to remove the extra characters.

Just watched the vid....pretty much everything he mentioned has always been there. But, one thing he missed was that with this release they added PDC (plug in delay compensation) to tracks that you add as aux send busses. It used to be that you only had this with tracks and the mixbus channels, but now this also is for bus sends (so when you add an FX channel). This might be the biggest add they put in this edition. It's actually quite decent, for the price it is a bit of a bargain. But, only if you are likely to use a computer for your mixing tasks. I still think that it's main place is for final mix down so it depends on if you have the desire to export what you're working on to another place to finish it. It's pretty easy to demo to check out if it's something you want to use or are going to use.

I absolutely loved 32c but it crashed constantly for me on Mac, and had all sorts of weird issues with uad plugins. I have had mixbus since version 2 and really love the console workflow but those issues really drove me away from it. Too bad because it sound great. And the character plugins and Tom gate are very innovative.

To sum up (pun intended), I can't recommend Mixbus highly enough. I strongly suggest you try it yourself by visiting www.harrisonconsoles.com and downloading the fully-functional demo. You may also want to try its larger sibling, Mixbus 32C if you have a bigger budget. Either way, Mixbus will instantly give your sessions the flavor of a world-class analog mixer with powerful DAW editing all in one package that won't break the smallest bank.
