With the 2024 ATM and approval of design funds for the LHS project behind us, now is a great time to dig into what is happening with the project. Here are a few ways to keep updated and informed:
· Sign up for notifications of School Building Committee meetings.
· Check out the LHS project website.
· Sign up for regular LPS updates, including Superintendent bi-weekly reports.
· Subscribe to the Lexington Observer, Lexington’s nonprofit digital newsroom.
Last, and definitely not least, attend or watch the 4th Community Forum, Thursday May 2, 6:30-8:30pm, Cary Memorial Building. You can attend in person or via zoom.
I don’t expect that everyone will watch every School Building Committee meeting, but reading the agendas and the detailed minutes will hopefully keep surprises to a minimum. Beyond that, when you talk to friends, neighbors, and constituents, please encourage them to also sign up for SBC meeting notifications. A new or renovated LHS is a massive undertaking, both in terms of size and cost. The time to tune in, and help others do the same, is now.
