Bylaw changes vs common courtesy

Good morning,

I’ve been watching the discussion unfold regarding calling the question or timing of start of town meeting. The executive committee has a few different bylaw elements we have been discussing over the last year including requirements for reconsideration, amending on the floor, use of Roberts rules or order vs Town Meeting Time; etc.

Perhaps a small group of folks would like to volunteer to meet prior to our Dec11 TMMA meeting to discus options to move these items into formal options for consideration.

Please send me a note if interested. We’ll plan a meeting the week after Thanksgiving to explore.

When I was first elected to Town Meeting---back in the first Ice Age--Town Meeting started at 8 PM.  I do not remember when it went to 7:30 PM, but the idea was that we would adjourn earlier. Did not happen!
